POWER, DESIRE, FAITH. The French author’s socio-critical masterpiece questions the value systems of various social structures. It tells six interlocking stories from the Middle Ages to the present day: of the honorable knight, the progressive aristocrat, the insensitive colonel, the manipulative wife, the money-hungry showmaster and the stubborn salesman with the Bible. Will they manage to shed their roles for the sake of more humanity?
