For the fifteenth time BARNES CROSSING (Freiraum für TanzPerformanceKunst) is organizing the international dance festival SoloDuo NRW + friends in Cologne from May 19-21, 2023 and is again cooperating with Budapest’s SzólóDuó Táncfesztivál and Almada Dance Company / Almada international Dance Festival.

From the applications from Europe and Israel, this year performances were selected from Spain, France, Portugal, Norway, Italy and Germany (Hamburg, Berlin, Mainz, Essen).

The performances will take place on: Fri., May 19 + Sat.,May 20, each at 8:00 p.m.

The audience is again asked to actively participate in the voting for the Audience Award Solo and Audience Award Duo.

Award ceremony with performance, Sun., May 21, 3 p.m.

The cooperation partner Almada Dance Company (PT) shows an excerpt from the current production “Carbono”, choreography: Bruno Duarte.

The jury prizes include an invitation to the Budapest SzólóDúo Fesztivál 2024 for all award winners. The prize money will be used to cover travel and accommodation costs and will be offered by the Kunstsalonstiftung (400 € per person). The awarded Solo and the awarded Duo will additionally receive an invitation to the Almada international Dance Festival 2023 in Portugal. The prize money for these two productions will be increased by the amount of the travel expenses, this will also be covered by the Kunstsalonstiftung.
