We do thank all the participating artists of this years special solo edition for their inspiring performances at Barnes Crossing and herewith announce the winners:

Price of the audience aswell as Best Solo Newcomer
Djamila Polo with the choreography „….didladid

Djamila presents an outstanding movement language and performance that creates a dysphoric confusion for us. She creates the illusion of a deconstructed body gradually putting itself together. Llittle glimpses of the classical emerge while keeping a sense of the absurd. We look forward to see more work of this young artist.

Best Dancer – Nitsan Margaliot with the choreography „Returning “

Embodying gravity and momentum Nitsan created volume in the space around him and inside himself. We were able to feel him as he articulated and then transmitted the sensations he produced with his movement. Through the course of the performance he evolved through a series of states which felt both personal and transparent.

Best Solo – Philipp Caspari with the choreography „Flow my tears – an interdisciplinary Solo performance“Singing “Flow my Tears” the most renowned song of the baroque composer John Dowland, Philipp interrupts the clarity of his obviously well-trained voice with physical impulses that shimmer between the grotesque, the violent and the humorous. Disturbing the ethereal indulgence of the song, he reminds us that these sounds are coming from the flesh of an earthly body.
