New funding and more accessibility at Barnes Crossing
We’re excited to share some wonderful news — over the past months, Barnes Crossing has received new funding to make our space and website more accessible.
Thanks to the Bauunterhaltung und Technikförderung der Stadt Köln, our restroom will soon be renovated into a barrier-free toilet — an important step toward better working conditions and greater accessibility for our audiences.
AKTION MENSCH e.V. is also supporting the renovation and helping us to make our website more accessible.
And thanks to the „Hier mit Herz“-Stiftung der Sparkasse KölnBonn, we’re now dancing on brand-new dance floor in our studios!
So many great developments — we’re deeply grateful for the support of all our partners and funders, and we look forward to welcoming you soon at Barnes Crossing.
Our Offerings:
- Studio Rentals: We offer two versatile studios suitable for rehearsals, work-in-progress showings, and events. https://barnescrossing.de/en/studios-en/
- Meeting point: Our facilities are complemented by amenities including a kitchen, showers, barrier-free WC facilities, a cozy seating area, and free Wi-Fi.
- Performance Venue: Our 300m² stage is equipped with professional stage equipment, suitable for various events and performances.
- Stage Equipment Rental
- Support and network: We offer professional advisory services and act as a valuable source of information for artists, fostering a supportive community for the performing arts. Part of this is the Avengers’ advisory service for accessible performing arts. https://barnescrossing.de/en/avengers-en/
- The café at the Wachsfabrik is open to all artists from Monday to Saturday, 14:00 to 19:00, as well as before and after performances.
