The interdisciplinary dance production “ADHD – Anders Durch Halbe Sachen” is a performative dance reappraisal of the perspective of neurodivergent artists who work with dance as well as sound and video installations.
Immersive and self-ironic, the performers pose the question of doing things by halves and starting again somewhere else. In the piece, three neurodivergent performers negotiate different personal and scientific perspectives on life with ADHD through dance and theater, with bubble wrap and poetic video sequences as well as sounds ranging from dreamy piano sounds to impulsive techno sounds. In the process, our everyday life, which was conceived for a neurotypical world, is questioned and contrasted with the realities of life for neurodivergent people.
We negotiate an appropriate balance between closeness and distance between our bodies, our counterparts and how we move in this space. An inexhaustible wealth of ideas and complete exhaustion.
